The Ecumenical Orthodox-Catholic Church (EOCC) is Part of the Universal Church of Christ. We are a Christ-Love Centred Ecumenical Orthodox Church (Eastern Rite). For Fifteen years we have been an autonomous Orthodox-Catholic Church, grown from one Bishop in Uganda to more Bishops, Priests, Christians and Missions all over the World.

This is God’s work, and we give Him glory for all He is doing, transforming lives, communities, and nations. We seek to be a church planting movement wherever we are established, bringing the Gospel, the love of Christ, Hope and the power found in Sacred Mysteries (Sacraments) and Prayer graciously for all peoples.

BELIEFS OF THE ECUMENICAL ORTHODOX-CATHOLIC CHURCH
One Holy, Apostolic, Orthodox-Catholic Church

  1. We are a Christian Church deeply rooted in CHRIST. We believe in One God: We Believe in the Holy Trinity: One God in Three Persons.
  2. We believe in the Only Eternally begotten Son of God-Christ Jesus, the Only Messiah and Saviour of the World born of the Blessed Virgin Mary whom we hold as Theotokos.
  3. We believe in The Holy Spirit, the Giver of Life and the One who spiritually baptizes and sanctifies humanity. He proceeds from the Father.
  4. We believe all Gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and available for the uplifting of all true believers. We uphold The Holy Bible as the truly inspired Word of God.
  5. We believe and uphold the teachings of the Ancient Apostolic Fathers held by the One universal church of Christ before AD 1054. The Nicene and Apostles creed being the standard. (The first Seven Ecumenical Councils of The ONE Church of Christ)
  6. We believe in the Seven Sacraments as Holy Mysteries of God’s Divine power and healing upon humanity and uphold to the laying of hands. All our priests and bishops are ordained and consecrated under the authority of apostolic succession.
  7. We believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Eucharist.
  8. We believe in and uphold the Sanctity of Life. All Life begins at the moment of conception up to natural death.
  9. We believe and uphold the sacredness of Marriage and Family life. 10. Our firm belief is that marriage is a sacramental union of an adult man and an adult Woman who join each other in love out of consent, and to bring forth children. The family is the first unit of the church.
We work with governments and other churches to create a world of peace, economic empowerment and contribute to local community development through our church programs and community projects, but not at the cost of faithfulness and truths of our faith in Christ.

FAITH PRACTICE AND ETHICS OF ECUMENICAL ORTHODOX-CATHOLIC CHURCH (EOCC)

  1. We are a Christian Church. One with all Apostolic Christians Churches in the World. Membership into our church is free: We do not coerce or force anybody to join us. Joining us is a free choice and decision.
  2. We do not compete with any Christian church and organization. Rather we seek to be partners in God’s work.
  3. We do not uphold the discipline of mandatory celibacy. Our Bishops, Priests, Deacons are married in Holy Matrimony. Priesthood in our church(Ecumenical Orthodox Catholic Church-EOCC) is for mature, trained and dignified MEN. Let it be clear: We do not ordain women to the Priesthood. We do not ordain alcohol-drug addicted or mentally impaired persons.
  4. We hold and enjoy Lines of Apostolic Succession, a valid priesthood and sacraments.
  5. We do not accept Practicing Homosexuals/Gays into our priesthood as ministers and leaders into our church. But rather call them to repent and turn to the Lord.
  6. We do not welcome nor allow neither participate in any way in the so called “same sex marriages and relationships or unions.”
  7. We do not give or pay “stipend or salary” to our clergy. We are a working priest church movement. Serving with us is voluntary and there is no monetary value attached to it. Our clergy are encouraged and/or assisted to obtain civil jobs or be self-employed. This must be clear to those who are seeking to join us. You must be ready to work and earn for your own family’s basic needs of life. However, we empower out ministers with all resources, training, education and information as a means of empowering them.
  8. We do not encourage nor accept the consumption and abuse of alcohol and other toxic drugs by our clergy and generally our faithful Christians or church members.
  9. We do not accept any abuse of children and/women in anyway. We work hard to become a safe haven for all vulnerable members of the community.
  10. We uphold the sanctity of life right from conception. All life is sacred and a holy gift from God.
  11. We uphold the stewardship of Mother Nature: The Earth-environment must be respected, conserved and protected in the best way for the next generations.
  12. Our church is an agent of peace and partner with other peace agents in the world to build and maintain a peaceful humane society.
Everyone is welcome to worship with us in Spirit and Truth.
